The Blind Nut Rivnut Set is not your typical riveter. Instead of using a rivet to combine 2 pieces of say sheet metal when working with a small straight rivet, this alternative “blind nut” riveter works in an entirely different fashion. The riveter users threaded “rivet nuts”, of which are a small round steel component with an internal thread. The user will typically drill out a hole, then insert a rivnut as supplied in these packs onto the tip of the mandrel/rivet gun, then adjust to suit, finally shooting the rivnut into place. The rivet gun will crimp the rivnut and secure tight. Now the user has a firm and secure thread to attach a bolt for any purpose. The rivnut packs come in 20 and 10 piece packs, are made from zinc coated steel and are available in M3,4,5,6,8,10.
